Loowit Imaging | RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

On November 1, 2012, I drove down to the flooded Skokomish river in Washington State. Seeing salmon cross the roadways in the Skokomish river valley is a common occurrence in the fall, especially during floods brought on by intense fall rainstorms. My goal was to photograph this phenomena for the first time. Within hours of taking these and posting them online, my photos went viral. They especially went viral on Flickr, where they caught the attention of the chief editor of Ripley's Believe it or Not!.

These photos subsequently appeared on page 21 of an annual edition published by Ripley Publishing, titled 'Dare to Look', which hit store shelves in September, 2013.
